I met these guys when they opened for From A Second Story Window here in Ottawa - less than a week after a horrendous van accident: Ontario's own Beneath the Massacre released their debut album Mechanics of Dysfunction yesterday on Prosthetic Records, and they're going on tour with countrymen Ion Dissonance as well as Arsis. Not coming to Ottawa, sadly.
From First to Last vocalist Sonny Moore has quit. Didn't know that, nor do I particularly care, but hey, it's called "news" for a reason, I guess. FFTL's new singer is named Matt Good, which is funny if you're a native of Canada and follow CanRock as I have. Oh, and they've hooked up with Suretone Records, run by big-time honcho Jordan Schur and home to my friend Kyle's big ol' rock and roll band. Hooray! [theprp]
Australian metal band Parkway Drive have been added to the Warped Tour this summer from July 7th through August 12th.
