One of the most hyped hockey games of the year thus far, tonight's rematch of my beloved Ottawa Senators and the hated, feared, visiting Buffalo Sabres following the brawling, sprawling game in New York state forty-eight hours ago, ends in a 6-5 win for the home side. I think I've developed high blood pressure in the the last three hours alone.
And in somewhat related hockey-ish news, retired brawler Tie Domi has sued radio station Q107 and its owner Corus Entertainment for almost a million bucks in defamation, after two station jocks claimed Domi charged fees to appear at charity events. Nice. [milkmanunlimited]
Paging through today's Saturday edition of the Ottawa Citizen, and what did I see? The usual Saturday feature whereby the paper grabs some random schmuck off the street to quiz him about what's on his iPod. So what was bumpin' in Mr. Shawn Pepin's player? Check it: tunes from hardcore legends Cro-Mags, newcomers Have Heart(look for our review of their latest coming soon), Guns up!, veterans Bouncing Souls(coming to Ottawa in March - check punkottawa.com for details), Modern Life Is War, Minor Threat and New Found Glory. That's fantastic.
