Fear Before the March of Flames, the most damaged-sounding band I've ever heard out of Colorado, have a brand-new song called '237' up on their purevolume site. It's vintage FBTMOF: a complete kamikaze mission of noise. I dig it!

Courtesy of my boss's iPod(love that little sucker), I heard most of the new Soilwork the other night; the guitars in places are pure Lamb of God, and they sure sing more than they used to. Decent singing, yes, but something about the pomposity of metal singers gets on my nerves. Musically, they're tight as a drum - and speaking of drums, their drummer is out of his mind fantastic. There's your quickie metal review for the day.
