The Dillinger Escape Plan, as has been common knowledge around Ottawa for a month, are kicking off a full north American headlining tour here in Cap City, with openers The Bronx, Hella, Between the Buried and Me and The Flashbulb. Says here Horse the Band are also playing, but there are rumours afoor that they've canceled; more on that as we get it. Watch your music-video outlet of choice for 'Unretrofied', Dillinger's third single/video from last year's Miss Machine.

This is intriguing: Arkansas rapper Listener(deepspace5 crew, among others, as well as an established solo act on Mush Records) is doing a tour of homes. Literally. From the 10th of this month through December 17th, Listener will be doing almost sixty shows in peoples' homes, with potlucks and a great vibe overall. If you're in the States and you're interested, check out his tour website. I really dig this idea. [sphereofhiphop]

A new-ish band called Materia Medica, comin' correct straight outta Alabama, are dropping a new EP soon; they're looking for label support, and they have a song up on purevolume called 'Raccoons' - everyone's favourite animal! Give it a listen over here. Brace yourself for the screamo-with-a-big-ol'-breakdown ruckus!!

There's a good little article over here concerning elitism: what it's said to be, what it's not, and what's really important. Kudos to Rachelle on the heads-up.

Talib Kweli and Mos Def will be co-headlining the Breed Love Odyssey tour this fall, sponsored by Sony, who will be giving away loads of free crap and demoing stuff. Tour dates over here [Relevant]

Sylvester Stallone apparently need more flow, as Rocky 6 will be filmed in 2006, with a release next fall/winter. Pathetic.
