Pluto Records' upstarts Divide the Day were dealt a setback over the weekend when their van and trailer were stolen in California; the van was recovered in pretty bad shape, but the trailer, safe to say, is gone, along with the band's equipment and merchandise for the tour they in fact still started yesterday. Good for them. Here's where they'll be:
Sep 6 Lawrence, KS @ The Bottleneck
Sep 7 Cleveland, OH @ The Hi-Fi Club
Sep 8 Levittown, NY @ Club 2686
Sep 9 Worcester, MA @ The Palladium (SkateFest w/ CKY, Every Time I Die, The Red Chord, Bane, Daughters, The Chariot, Haste The Day, High On Fire and more!)
Sep 10 Brooklyn, NY @ Boogaloo Bar
Sep 11 Long Island, NY @ The Ultrasound Lounge
Sep 13 Springfield, MO @ Nathan P. Murphy's

In case anyone wants to see a picture of sweetdisaster's Big Cheese slopping out potato and macaroni salad at a church function, check this out. Ha.

We have a very in-depth interview coming up(among all the other things that the aforementioned Big Cheese has yet to write) with Val Hellman, formerly a horn player for short-lived ska band The W's(the name might ring some bells); the band had a short run in the Christian-contemporary/punk rock arena before their demise, and we won't lie: the piece we're working on will offend some people, will make some other people say, "It's about time some of this was talked about", and will - hopefully - enlighten everyone. Keep an eye out.
