So this weekend turned out to be Hip Hop Blowout for sd Big Cheese and some of his friends; we hit the Moka Only/Quartertones/DJ Serious show Friday(sickness) and last night after doing the radio show, I wound up being able to see O.C. open up for the Heiroglyphics crew from California. The show was well-attended, reasonably good-spirited(ie not many idiots causing trouble - I didn't see any amazingly-fast ejections like last year's Killswitch Engage show at the same venue), and the beats and rhymes were hugely displayed. My personal thanks to Scallen for the favour(we have the favour system working, he and I do).
Reminder: Haste the Day headlines the purevolume.com-sponsored Summer Free Fall tour at Babylon this Wednesday, with openers Still Remains, Rosesdead and The Wishlist. Stretch Arm Strong were of course supposed to be headlining, but their van died. I'm still ticked. As well, HTD have been tapped to open for Every Time I Die's upcoming tour that hits Ottawa, so get ready for that too.
Speaking of purevolume, Project 86 will be slapping up a new song on their purevolume site tomorrow, and their DVD ...And The Rest Will Follow will be available September 1st.
