Some Facedown Records news from out California way(wonder how much money they lost on the Hellfest cancellation):
- two of the Facedown bands are involved in a couple of the Hellfest-alternative shows, namely Nodes of Ranvier and Seventh Star tomorrow night in Farmingville, New York at TGIF Sounds and Sights with The Warriors, Animosityand more, and then Sunday at the What The Hell Fest(great name) in Hackettstown, New Jersey at the Hackettstown Skate Park with Dead to Fall, The Warriors, This is Hell and more. So if you're around there, go to those shows.
- Nodes of Ranvier's new album The Years to Come drops September 13th; check out a new track called 'Glass Half Nothing' over here.
There's a complete(as of right this second anyway) list of Hellfest alternate shows over here. [AP]
For all the Radiohead fans out there(I'm one, when they're not being utterly pretentious and artsy), the band are working on the followup to 2003's Hail to the Thief - which is a decent record, from what I've heard of it. [Relevant]
Former From Autumn to Ashes bassist Mike Pllato has joined One True Thing, who also hail from Long Island and whose vocalist happens to be Melanie Wills, the young woman you heard on the last two FATA records. If anyone cares.
