Before we get any business started around here, some real business gotta be taken care of: our own webmaster extraordinaire, Galen Broaddus(better known universally as Brody) and his lovely wife Courtney recently passed along word that they're expecting their first child in 2006. A heartfelt congratulations to both of you guys from sweetdisaster HQ!!
Now then, fuzzlings, let's make with today's news.
Pluto Records, responsible back in the day for breaking a little band from San Diego called As I Lay Dying(could I possibly talk about AILD more around here?), have a whole slew of rad bands going on tours and releasing albums and generally crushing everything in their paths; one such outfit is SoCal's Divide The Day, who've put up some new songs online, taken from their soon-to-be-released debut Pretty Girls With Ugly Boys(story of my life!), which'll be in a store near you July 12th. Check out the new stuff - which friggin' rips - either here or here. Other Pluto-affiliated bands currently plotting overthrows include Horse the Band, Life In Pictures and Please Mr. Gravedigger, so keep an eye peeled for those names.
The first glimpse of the new Switchfoot slab, Nothing Is Sound: right. over. here. Just a clip though. Boo. [IVM]
