Okay, so the new Ottawa DMC champ is Kid SL, reclaiming his throne from the now-ex-Canadian champ Drastik with an amazing six minutes of tricks, disses and sheer flow that had us moving. After that, Rjd2 simply destroyed, with four(four!) decks and a sampler. The set was cut short by 45 minutes due to extreme time overage, but what a set it was. Many, many props to the DMC crew and Kapacity for bringing it all together. Oh, and the b-boy/b-girl competition was sick.
The latest email from punkottawa contains a slew of listings for upcoming shows, too many to list here in our extreme state of fatigue. There's metal coming to Ottawa, hardcore, indie, hiphop, more metal, punk, you name it. Busy April ahead.
