The Lost Dogs performed for almost two hours last night down in the Glebe here in Ottawa, and for those who're at all into the Christian rock scene, it was like a living history lesson watching these grizzled dudes play songs that have paved the way for every Christian band to follow. Well done. And thanks to Dave Leibold at CKCU FM 93.1 for bringing them to town.
Mourning September's Floodgate Records debut A Man Can Change His Stars drops August 10th; produced by James Wisner(who, of note, produced the new Underoath, which is pretty good), it promises to be a pretty big record. Keep an eye out for it. Two tracks feature guest vocals from Jon Bunch(Further Seems Forever).
Essential listening for July 10th is Funeral For A Friend's two records to date: the Seven Ways to Scream Your Name EP and this year's debut full-length Casually Dressed and Deep In Conversation. Solid new-school screamo/pop. I dig.
