This Just In: the new full-length from Rjd2, called Since We Last Spoke, is just ridiculous. I listened to a few tracks at HMV today with sweetdisaster enforcer DJ Omnifik, who's back from the T-dot having seen Danger Mouse last week(feel free to hate on him), and Rj has cranked up the production to another level. I can't wait to hold it in my hot little hands.

The same night I saw the new video from Billy Talent on MuchMusic, Loud had the decency to run Killswitch Engage's new project called 'Rose of Sharon'. Shot in a desert with the usual band-rocking-in-the-wilderness motif that Guns 'N Roses pioneered over a decade ago(remember 'November Rain'? Killer!), the song is pretty good. Howard Jones is one of the better vocalists in the genre. Recommended.

In some baseball news(because that's obviously what you come here for), my Toronto Blue Jays are hosting the Dodgers of Los Angeles this weekend at SkyDome in the first weekend of interleague play this year; however, that's not the news: the news is that on the 13th, the first ten thousand fans into the 'Dome - get this - a Spider-Man mask and foam hand. That is idiocy. To make it worse(or better, if you're in the news gig like we are here), the day before they're handing out SportHead candy dispensers, this time featuring Jays starter Miguel Batista. Who is that guy? Why's he get a bobblehead-type thing? People are morons!

If you're a fan of Pedro the Lion, and we are here at the ol' D, you might wanna be checking this interview with ringleader Dave Bazan out.

Punk godfathers Bad Religion have a new record out as of yesterday called The Empire Strikes First...at least it's out south of the border. Here in Canada, who knows. Hit your indie shop and inquire. Anyway, the new video for first single 'Los Angeles Is Burning' can be seen over here. [pastepunk]
