Some news concerning everyone's favourite rockers, Lucerin Blue: bassist Paul Rennick has left the band to pursue other things, but no worries; the southern-Ontario quartet has lined up Brad Trott to take his place. Now, I may be wrong here, but I think Brad Trott ran Nonetheless Records out of Toronto waaaaay back. As well, the band have a late-notice show going down at the Shelter in downtown Detroit a week from tomorrow(April 29th), opening up for the mighty Project 86. How 'bout THAT!
Heeeere we go, kids: sweetdisaster.com's inaugural CONTEST!!! How excited are we over here? Enough to give away a copy of Anberlin's debut album Blueprints For The Black Market along with one ticket to see them live a week from tonight(that's April 28th, kids) opening up for The Juliana Theory. To enter, just shoot us an email with the answer to this simple question: what state down in the ol' US of A are Anberlin from? Where do they call home? Their stomping grounds? Their quarters? Shoot us your emails and we'll pick one lucky duckling to hit up the show. Your phone number and email address are required; you'll be notified the night before the show if you're the beeeg weeeeener.
Hit it up. More news next time.
Oh wait, the show last night. Poison the Well and Spitalfield were both no-shows thanks to border issues, but from all reports Thursday put on their typical amazing show. sweetdisaster enforcer DJ Omnifik landed some sweet shots of vocalist Geoff Rickly that may or may not be displayed in this fine space. We'll see.
Alexisonfire tonight with Rosesdead, Blue Skies At War and Keep It Up. Sold-out show, but there's always stiffers at the door and such. Head on down to Babylon and maybe you'll get lucky.
