Hope everyones' Easter weekend was solid good times. Two couples close to me were involved in car accidents over the long weekend; thankfully everyone is okay, even if my landlady's Aztec is a total writeoff. She says if they'd been driving anything other than a massive SUV, they'd have been killed. Thank God.
There's a lot of stuff to catch up on - I dislike not updating this space for like almost a week. So here we go. First off, I gotta hype this: your new favourite band is Brampton, Ontario's Wheels On The Bus, combining the off-kilter rhythms of fellow Bramptonians Moneen with the metal of Thrice and killer vocal melodies on top. Amazing! Hit up their website for all the lowdown.
If you live in or around Anaheim, California, June 6th would be a good time to be at the House of Blues, as Stavesacre is headlining a show and playing some four new songs. The other bands? Um, Project 86 and Dead Poetic. Yeah, those're three good reasons to show up. Too bad I live roughly 3500 miles away. As well, Stavesacre have a DVD nearing completion.
Pluto Records down in Texas have a new album from Beauty to Ashes coming later this summer; it's been a long-awaited work from the California metal band, and you all should be quaking in anticipation of this masterpiece!
This Just In: Mike Knott's 'Waiting For Your Turn To Smile', from his Hearts of Care album, is a stellar tune.
