Wanna know how we Ottawa peeps celebrate the first day of spring? G'head, guess. No clue, huh? I'll tell you: it snows all friggin' day!!. Booooooo to crappy inclement weather, but here's something to warm your frozen little digits: Finger Eleven's 2003 self-titled album, containing the bomb track 'Complicated Questions'. Go listen to it somewhere.

Speaking of rock attacks, Starflyer 59 have indeed resurrected their rock god status with their brand-new album I Am The Portuguese Blues; an intriguing title referring to a great rock and roll record. I had a chance to hear some of it yesterday and man, has Jason Martin ever upped the wattage on his no-doubt-retro studio equipment. Highly recommended.

Moonlight Graham(aka Graham Greer of the much-missed Barstool Prophets) is playing Barrymore's April 15th as part of their Indie Rock Revue. Affordable, quality rock from a great singer/songwriter. Be there or we release the hounds.

I don't know how this escaped our all-knowingness, but the Tunnel Rats have a self-titled album dropping next Tuesday! How'd we not hear about this?? sphereofhiphop like what they hear, and you should all trust their judgement.

We gotta fix something: a few days ago we reported Zao coming to Ottawa May 12th, when in fact it's June 12th. Our bad. You will not miss this show.

OGS has a report of a forthcoming Cake record, the followup to 2001's Comfort Eagle. What a great band Cake are. I could just eat them.

....anyone? Eat them? Cake? C'mon, work with me here!

Apparently the debut from Rag Men, featuring members of Hatebreed and Madball among others, isn't the thugged-out tough-guy breakdownfest you'd expect from such a pedigree; check out pastepunk.com's review, and when you're done that, hit up another review, this one of the latest from Pulley, who were in Ottawa night before last. Anyone wanna review that show? Email itacs@hotmail.com. Pulley feature ringleader Scott Radinsky, whose other career, his day job as it were, was being a starting pitcher for the Chicago White Sox a while back. How rad is that??
