A day after his father suddenly passed away at fifty-eight, my man goes out and throws for three hundred years in the first half. Wound up going 399 yards with FOUR touchdowns. Zero interceptions. This guy played like a man possessed. Amazing to watch.

Friday, March 19th is the first night of the upcoming Facedown Fest, and also the last show for Erie, PA legends xDisciplex AD. Booo. Sinai Beach and Seventh Star are also headlining that night, and the next night Comeback Kid and Shockwave(playing their first-ever west coast show) are bringing up the fore. Slick Shoes drummer Joe Nixon was interviewed in F.U.G. magazine a while back; I found it at Chapters amongst the crap mainstream and special-interest mags, and a lot of it deals with the band's long tenure in the "Christian market" and why they'll never lose the "Christian stigma". If you can track it down, give it a read on page thirty-four. Oh, and Miles Between Us have a seven-inch reviewed in the same issue, but they broke up in August already.
