I was listening to Todd White's overnight show on ESPN Radio the other night, and one of the bumper songs(those tunes that get aired right before and after commercials) was Switchfoot's 'Meant To Live'. I thought that was cool. *looks around* Oh, right, no one cares.

I've only heard bits and pieces about this band The Kick outta Florida, but any band that's opened for Noise Ratchet and Squad 5-0 is worth reading about. On that note, check out this interview by decapolis' Luke Harlow. Get this: the show took place at a show where the band opened for ONE-21!!! Such a good band. Oh, and this interview has some language in 'asterisk' form that some might find objectionable. You've been warned. Great piece, still.

This just in: I'm reading the above interview, and this guy was in Dear Ephesus!! RAD!!

Anyway.

Weezer's Pat Wilson's side project The Special Goodness has signed a deal with Epitaph Records; the band's label debut Land Sea Air will drop in January. Man, January's shaping up to be a huge month for releases. [aversion]

New artist to watch: Northern Records' Holly Nelson. Her website.
